DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Some people who have appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine in DeKalb County Wednesday morning will have to wait a few extra hours.
County officials are blaming the cold and windy conditions for the delay.
There’s a 2-and-half hour delay at the Brandsmart USA location in Doraville. Instead of opening at 8:30 a.m., appointments start at 11 a.m. and will go until 5 p.m.
We’ll have updates on the vaccination process in the county throughout the day on Channel 2 Action News
But DeKalb County isn’t the only county dealing with this same issue. Cobb and Douglas county health officials delayed distributing vaccines on Tuesday because of the cold weather.
