CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are searching for the suspect who shot and killed someone at a busy shopping center in Clayton County.
Investigators said the shooting happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. at the shopping center at 10375 Tara Boulevard near Jonesboro. The shopping center has a Kroger and several other restaurants in it.

A witness at the plaza told Channel 2 Action News that she heard several gunshots and saw the victim on the ground.
“It’s hurtful, it’s painful. You got to pray for the kid, for the mom,” Marquita Jones said. “It was so sad to see her cry.”
Investigators later confirmed that the victim, whose name and age have not been released, died at the scene.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting.
