ATLANTA — A man wanted in a pair of armed robberies has been taken into custody, according to Atlanta police.
Police say that on January 19, officers were called to a CVS Pharmacy on Highland Avenue where employees said a man robbed the store at gunpoint before driving off in a white Honda Pilot.

The next day, they were called to the HodgePodge Coffee House on Moreland Avenue. Employees there reported that a man robbed the store at gunpoint, tried pulling a female employee’s pants down and then left in one of the employees’ cars.
“The individual that came in came in after two customers. Waited for them to leave. He ordered a drink and acted as if he was looking for money as the other people left,” said Daniel Rodriguez, the director of operations at HodgePodge Coffee House told Channel 2′s Michele Newell after the robbery.

Investigators say they identified the man as 58-year-old David Miller and determined that he was connected to both crimes.
Officers spotted Miller’s car and pulled him over on Moreland Avenue.
In body camera footage of the arrest that was released on Thursday, Miller can be seen getting out of the car immediately after stopping.
Police say Miller tossed drug paraphernalia towards the front of the car when he got out.
In the video, Miller can then be heard shouting at police, “Shoot me! Shoot me! Just shoot me!”
