ATLANTA — The summer heat wave isn’t over yet for metro Atlanta with another heat advisory in place.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich says highs will be near 100 degrees on Friday and Saturday. The heat index could reach up to 109 degrees in some areas.
That’s why a heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday. Kramlich says it’s likely another heat advisory will be issued on Saturday.
Here’s what else to know for the weekend:

- Cold front moves in Sunday; isolated storms possible in the afternoon
- Cold front hangs around next week leading to an active weather pattern and cooler temps.
