ATLANTA — The Atlanta Hawks will continue their tradition of playing on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and this year, the Hawks are unveiling another special tribute to the civil rights icon.

The team will unveil its new “MLK Wall” as part of its MLK celebration when it hosts the Milwaukee Bucks. The MLK Wall will provide an educational experience on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy. It will be located by Atlanta Social on the terrace level at State Farm Arena.

The Hawks worked on the wall in partnership with the King estate, NBA, NBPA and Nike.

“It is very important for our organization to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and also continue to be actionable in the way that we recognize him, “said Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Proctor. “We are excited to celebrate his legacy with some interactive elements throughout this special game.”
