Is your child interested in learning more or improving their football skills? The Atlanta Falcons are hosting a free youth camp in Georgia next week.

Boys and girls ages 7-13 can attend the free camp at Dalton High School on May 21 from 6-8:30 p.m. Former Falcons players will teach them football fundamentals as well as skills for each position.

TODAY ON CHANNEL 2 AT 5: Parents tell us they are spending hundreds, thousands and even tens of thousands of dollars for their kids to play for school and travel sports teams. Sports Director Zach Klein is looking into why youth sports have become so expensive.

For parents worried about safety, the camp is a non-contact and no equipment is needed.

"The camp will incorporate proper tackling techniques along with character-based lessons. The safe, non-contact football instruction teaches children the right way to play and how to avoid injuries," according to Falcons release.

Parents have to register their child to participate and the registration link is still open.

It is the second one the Falcons have offered this year after they hosted the first in Albany in April.

Future camp dates and locations have not been released, but parents can keep an eye on the Falcons community page.
