ATLANTA,None — Police are looking for three gunmen who attacked a mother as she was coming home with three small children.
Channel 2's Amy Napier Viteri talked with the woman, who was afraid to be identified.
The victim told Viteri she was scared the men would come back.
She said she was returning home late at night after visiting her father on Sept. 12.
She told Viteri her sons, 2 years, 6 years and 4 months, old along with her 4-month-old baby, were with her in the truck when three men wearing ski masks appeared with guns.
"They pulled me hard, pointed the gun at me and told me to stay quiet," the woman said. "They told me they would shoot my children if I didn't give them the car. They also asked for money." But she told Viteri she didn't have any money on her.
The victim then said the men hit her in the face and pushed her because she didn't have any money.
"And were you holding your baby when they did this?" Viteri asked the woman. She said, "Yes."
The woman said the men then covered her and her 6-year-old son's eyes and mouth with duct tape and taped her wrists and feet together, as well.
"I was afraid," she told Viteri, "because I thought they were going to kill my children."
The victim said the men took off in the truck.
Police said just over an hour later, they found the truck at a car lot on Marietta Boulevard, but the gunmen were gone.
The victim told Viteri she would like police to find the robbers so she doesn't have to be afraid anymore.
The woman said she doesn't feel safe anymore and is hoping to move out oh her home soon.
She said she is also hoping someone who knows anything about what happened to her will come forward and contact police.
