Memphis Police have confirmed a large police presence downtown is connected to missing newborn Kennedy Hoyle.
FOX13 is following a large police presence at on Mud Island near the Mississippi River.

UPDATE: 8:30 A.M.
TBI has now issued an Amber Alert for 2-day-old Kennedy Hoyle.
She was last seen Tuesday with her mother, who has since been found shot to death, officials said.
Kennedy was last seen wearing a black and white polka dot onesie with pink pants.
She is 6 lbs. and 17 inches long; she has brown hair and brown eyes.

ORIGINAL STORY:
A 2-day-old baby girl is missing, according to the Memphis Police Department.
Kennedy Hoyle was last seen in the area of Sedgewick Drive and Levi Road with her mother.

Police said they found an abandoned vehicle in the area around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night.
After searching the area, officers found a 27-year-old woman dead near the car, MPD said.
Preliminary information indicates she was shot.
The victim’s newborn baby was last seen with her, but was not located, police said.
