The United States Postal Service is honoring military members that may be overlooked or forgotten -- military working dogs.
The USPS is releasing the series of forever stamps that highlight German shepherds, Labrador retrievers, Belgian Malinois and the Dutch shepherds that are trained in defense of our country.
The stamps have either a red and white or blue and white background behind the dogs, representing the American flag, and come in a booklet of 20 stamps.
The stamps were created by DKNG Studios and designed by art director Greg Breeding, the USPS said.
Working dogs have been supporting the American military since World War I.
New red, white and blue stamps featuring military working dogs were designed to “honor the nation’s brave and loyal canines,” according to a Postal Service statement last week. https://t.co/JARD3BzxmK
