LOS ANGELES — A suspicious item led to the evacuation late Friday of a cargo facility at Los Angeles International Airport, police said.
Authorities evacuated the Mercury Air Cargo facility just after 9 p.m. local time after "questionable materials" were found on a manifest, Los Angeles Airport police said. A bomb squad was called to investigate.
The evacuation did not affect flights and the area was cleared of any threat by 11:15 p.m. Authorities did not elaborate on the suspicious cargo.
