ACWORTH, Ga. — A semi-truck was slammed by a CSX train Monday morning after it got stuck on the tracks, police said.
Acworth Police Department officials said the truck got stuck on a railroad crossing near downtown Acworth and was hit by the approaching train just before 11 a.m. on North Main Street.
A witness captured the crash on video on his cell phone.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Ross Cavitt spoke to Ron Papaleoni, who saw the stuck truck and heard the approaching train as he came out of the post office.
"I said here's an opportunity that doesn't come around very often, so I got my iPhone and videoed it," said Papaleoni. CLICK HERE: To See The Raw Crash Video.
The truck was pushed about 40-50 yards down the track, officials said. Police said the truck was carrying food products.
The driver of the semi-truck was able to jump out before the train hit. No injuries were reported.
HAZMAT crews were called to the scene to remove the fuel from the truck. Crews will also work to remove all the food items from the truck before removing it from the tracks. North Main Street was expected to be shut down for several hours.
