No Bond For Teen Rape Suspect

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A magistrate judge ordered the teenage suspect in a series of rapes in DeKalb County held without bond Sunday night.

Trever Dion Blue, 19, made his first appearance in court about 8 p.m. Sunday, handcuffed, shackled and wearing an orange jail jumpsuit.

Magistrate judge Curtis Miller read off a list of more than 30 charges against Blue, including hree counts of rape, eight counts of aggravated sodomy, four counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted rape, six counts of burglary, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, five counts of kidnapping and one count of aggravated assault.

Police arrested Blue on Friday.

Detectives said they got a break in the case when the Blue abducted a woman on Thursday night, on Hambrick Road in the Memorial Drive area of Stone Mountain

Police said the woman got away and Blue was found driving her car in the area. He led officers on a chase, they caught him at an apartment complex, not far from Hambrick Road, according to investigators.

The Hambrick Road area is where detectives said he's been terrorizing women, breaking into their apartments then sexually assaulting them.

Officers have canvassed the area several times over the past few months. Those who live in the area are relieved.

"It's about time, and I'm hoping and praying it's the end of this. I feel more comfortable living in my own home," said neighbor Marstein Johnson.

The victims ranged in age from their teens to 30s.

DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis, Public Safety Director William Miller, and Police Chief William OBrien announced Blue's arrest at a Friday afternoon news conference.
