OREGON — Crews in Oregon saw a mesmerizing sight while fighting a brush fire – a firenado.

A steady gust of hot, dry wind whipped flames into a swirl in the video posted by the Cornelius Fire Department.

The fire burned about 5 acres before being extinguished.

Firefighters said farmers helped them stop the fire by using their disk equipment to bring dirt to the surface that contained nothing for the fire to burn, according to KATU-TV.

No injuries or structural damage were reported.
