DALLAS — Splish, splash, he’s taking a bath!
This adorable 2-month-old elephant calf was having the time of his life at the Dallas Zoo on Friday as he played in his kiddie pool for the first time ever.
"We brought out the kiddie pool when we knew he was big enough to step into it," zoo spokesperson Lydia Jennings told ABC News. "Plus, pool time is a summer requirement in Texas!"
The male African elephant calf loves splashing, rolling and flopping around in his multi-colored inflatable pool, the perfect way to cool off in the hot Texas heat.
HAPPY SUNDAY: In case you missed it (but, honestly, how could you?) our ellie boy took a "dip" in his first kiddie pool and you HAVE to see the precious awkwardness and pure joy. WATCH: bit.ly/EllieBoyPool

“Here in Dallas, it's been a tough week, and we're glad to bring some smiles to the nation,” said Laurie Holloway, the zoo’s senior director for marketing and communications.
The unnamed baby already weighs more than 200 pounds after being born to mom Mlilo on May 14. Mlilo is one of the five elephants the zoo rescued in March from Swaziland, Africa.
The zoo said it's announcing the little guy's name later this week "in a BIG Dallas way."
