SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Sandy Springs Police say they found 59 cats and kittens living in a condo in unsanitary conditions. Another 15 cats were found dead in the owner’s freezer.
LifeLine Fulton County Animal Services was notified by a neighbor about the situation. The group then alerted the Sandy Springs Police Department, which served a warrant and made the discovery.
Fulton County Animal Services Officers worked for six hours to catch and rescue the cats, which were then taken to a shelter. LifeLine veterinarians and staff worked late into the night examining the cats, vaccinating them and getting them settled into the shelter.
