• Police investigating fatal crash on Hwy 78


    DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - All eastbound lanes have reopened on Highway 78 in DeKalb County after a deadly crash.

    The crash happened about 4:30 a.m. The crash shut down all eastbound lanes of Highway 78 from Mountain Industrial Boulevard to Memorial Drive for nearly five hours.

    Channel 2’s Amanda Cook spoke with DeKalb police near the scene.

    They said the crash happened after a car veered into the median causing a three-car crash.

    Police said two people were ejected from one of the cars. They were both rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

    A total of four people were taken to the hospital, but no information has been released on the fatality.

    Channel 2 Action News is gathering details about this developing story.

    The case is under investigation.
