HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — A judge sentenced a man to 20 years behind bars then 20 years of probation for an attack on a woman at a senior assisted living facility.
Icilda Walters, 74, whose friends call her Tiney, was very happy that Gregory Stillwell Jr. will be off the streets for a long time.
McDonough police said Stillwell is the man who asked Walters for a glass of water at her apartment at the Grier Manor Senior Assisted Living Center in April in 2016 before he beat her, stabbed her and took her purse.
"I say, you're not supposed to come in," Walters said. "If you wait, I bring the water."
That's when he began punching and stabbing her.
Walters told Channel 2's Tom Jones that she played dead to get him to stop the attack.

"Who would do something like this?" Walters said. "Attack an... he do not have any heart. And I feel that guy is on drugs," Walters said, "because that boy did want me to die."
Walters broke down in court as she explained what happened to her and the judge in the case told Jones that he found the attack disturbing.
"It is a horribly upsetting crime," the judge said.
Police found Stillwell's work uniform with Walter's DNA on it nearby and Walters found his work nametag in her kitchen.
"How do you wish to plead to these offenses? Guilty or not guilty?" the judge asked Stillwell.
"Guilty sir," Stillwell said.
Stillwell's attorney said he was on drugs at the time and is very sorry for what happened, adding that Stillwell barely remembers what happened.
Walters remembers praying during the attack.
"I said Lord, I know you are with me," Walters told Jones. "Turn to Jesus and keep it going because don't let me die."
