A man accused of kidnapping a woman at random off the street has been arrested and is in the Hall County Jail.
Investigators said Jeffrey Moore, 55, of Gainesville, is accused of forcing a 20-year-old woman into his car last month and assaulting her with a pair of scissors.
Deputies said the woman had been walking along the road and was a random victim. Investigators said the woman was able to fight her way out of Moore’s car and escape, but suffered cuts and bruises in the process.

Deputies arrested Moore on Wednesday and charged him with aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily injury and false imprisonment.
“It is truly incredible how this case came together,” Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch said. “Dogged determination by the victim to escape, hours of old-fashioned police work by our investigators and crucial assistance from Oakwood Police and the public are just some of the pieces that came together to bring this dangerous offender to justice.”
Along with the charges in this case, Moore is also being held in the Hall County Jail on a probation violation.
