HALL COUNTY, Ga. — A Hall County inmate who walked away from a work detail nearly a month ago was caught Friday.
Deputies located 45-year-old Cedric Demitri Rogers of Flowery Branch and an abandoned house on Talley Lane just off Thompson Mill Road around 2:30 p.m.

At the time of his escape in December, he was on assignment at the Hall County Animal Shelter on Barber Road.
The Sheriff’s Office said that Rogers had been serving time for a probation violation.

Investigators said Rogers removed his ankle monitor near the animal shelter.
Rogers was arrested on felony warrants Friday for escape and interference with government property.
