Inmate left work detail, went to Hardee’s and is now on the run, sheriff’s office says

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an inmate who apparently walked away from a work detail Thursday afternoon.

Investigators are searching for Cedric Demitri Rogers, 45, of Flowery Branch.

Deputies said Rogers left his assignment at the Hall County Animal Shelter shortly after 3 p.m.

He was last seen at a Hardee’s restaurant in the area of 1520 Buford Highway in Gwinnett County.

Rogers is a Black man, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs about 245-250 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, a green long-sleeve undershirt and blue pants.

Rogers had been serving time for a probation violation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
