Police, SWAT investigate homicide in Gwinnett County, officials say

GRAYSON, Ga. — Gwinnett County police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that officers, and members of SWAT, are investigating a homicide that happened on Sunday.

Police said the homicide happened at around noon in Grayson.

A caller told Channel 2 Action News that there was a large police presence at 2487 Roseberry Lane.

Investigator Christian D’Allaird said one person was dead in the shooting.

Police are investigating the crime as a domestic violence incident, but did not state the relationship between the suspect and the victim.

Gwinnett County Police SWAT Team and homicide investigators are handling the case.

Police initially surrounded the home, thinking the suspect was still inside.

At around 6:15 pm, Channel 2 Action News crews saw SWAT Team members leaving the scene.

Homicide investigators remained at the scene to continue their investigation.

D’Allaird said this is an isolated incident and is unrelated to another homicide today on Brook Lea Cove in Lawrenceville.
