2 women sought in fans' fight outside Ga. Dome

ATLANTA — Police are looking for two women who may be connected with a stabbing that happened outside the Georgia Dome after Sunday night's NFC Championship Game.

On Monday, police told Channel 2's Ryan Young that authorities were trying to determine if the women had a box cutter that may have been used during a fight between a Falcons fan and a 49ers fan.

Minutes after the incident happened, a witness told Channel 2's Rachel Stockman a Falcons fan, who was upset about the team's loss, began arguing with a 49ers backer in the silver lot outside Gate D. At some point, the argument turned violent, and the Falcons fan was stabbed in the neck.

"Well, one of the Falcons fans just kept talking, telling him, 'You ain't going to come here and win and nothing,' and he hit the man, and that's what happened.  The man went into his pocket and cut him," witness Tony Morgan said.

Police used pepper spray to restore order after the scene turned chaotic.

The 35-year-old victim, who has not been identified, is recovering at Grady Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.  Police have not yet spoken to the victim.

The women have not been identified as suspects.

It was earlier reported that police recovered a knife allegedly used in the fight, but details surrounding that element are unclear.

Police are reviewing video and interviewing witnesses in hopes of getting more answers.
