DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating a crash that left one person in the hospital.
Authorities said officers received reports of a person hit by a car in the area of Panola Road and Covington Highway on Saturday at 9:48 p.m.

Officers found a man in critical condition in the roadway when they arrived. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The identity of the victim has not been released.

Police said the vehicle involved remained on the scene during the investigation.
The cause of the accident has not been determined.
The investigation remains ongoing.
