DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Roaches have been found crawling around the kitchen at Henderson Mill Elementary School in Dekalb County.
On Tuesday a state health inspector found bugs both alive and dead.
"That's not good. I mean, we did get an email about them dropping down to like an 80-something,” parent Amanda Weeks said.
The food service inspection resulted in a final score of 82 out of 100. %

The superintendent called it unacceptable, and officials say on Thursday the kitchen and cafeteria got a thorough scrubbing. An exterminator was also called.
Administrators say the kitchen cleaning schedule will be reevaluated, and staff will be re-trained.
School officials also stress there are no reports of illnesses or health issues with students.
Parents told Channel 2’s Berndt Petersen they understand bugs come out this time of year, but they don’t want them anywhere near their children’s’ food.
"It's an issue. It's a problem,” parent Ashley Simpson said.
The inspection reports showed dead roaches in utensil drawers was a repeat violation. New violations included bugs on the cook line and in a can opener holster.
