TUCKER, Ga. — People from the community are stepping up to help out the family of an owner of a popular Chinese restaurant who died when a pressure cooker exploded earlier this week.

The force of the blast killed Mei Ying Chen, according to a GoFundMe account set up for her family.

Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne was at the scene Tuesday when the incident happened and spoke to customers of the restaurant.

“(It’s a) tight-knit family. Family-owned business. Been coming here for over 10 years. Really good people,” longtime customer Elijah Gallizia said. “They have really good food. I come here all the time to get sesame chicken.”
