COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A Coweta county middle school was the latest in the area to be locked down after a threat was made on social media.
Lee County Middle School received calls Friday morning about a TikTok video threatening to “shoot up” the school “#Friday,” according to letter sent to parents from principal Gamal Kemp.

The school was put on “code yellow” security and extra police presence was brought in. All students were “safe and accounted for,” according to the letter.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating and attempting to find the person who created the video. There have been no arrests.

Earlier this week, a teen was arrested in connection to a threatening phone call made to Newnan High School as part of an online challenge prank.
Several metro Atlanta schools have been the subject of shooting threats in recent weeks.
