CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A South Carolina man who was accused of killing his girlfriend’s 8-month-old son in 2019 has been arrested in Clayton County.
Frederick Luma, 27 was arrested Wednesday after being on the run for over a year.

Police said Luma called police in Beaufort on June 19, 2019 to report his girlfriend’s son wasn’t breathing. The baby was rushed to the hospital, where he died. The baby had trauma to the head, according to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
Luma admitted to shaking the child, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He left the Beaufort area before arrest warrants were issued.
Luma will be extradited back to South Carolina.
