ATLANTA — For Monday’s frigid temperatures, Zoo Atlanta opened later than normal.
Now, we know Zoo Atlanta will be closed Tuesday due to the potential for winter weather.
“Due to continued unseasonably cold temperatures and the potential for winter weather, Zoo Atlanta will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025,” according to Zoo officials.
Plans for operations on Wednesday were not yet available. Zoo Atlanta said to keep an eye on their website and social media for any updates.
The zoo is not the only Atlanta attraction staying closed for the cold on Tuesday.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden will have both its Midtown and Gainesville locations closed.
Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency on Monday ahead of the winter weather coming in.
