ATLANTA — Since no one claimed the Mega Millions jackpot, Georgians now have a chance to win $465 million.

The cash option is approximately $250.4 million.
The latest winning numbers were 8, 35, 40, 53 and 56, with the Mega Ball number 11.

According to lottery officials, on Oct.14, winning tickets were sold in San Jose, California and Fort Meyers, Florida for a jackpot of $502 million or a cash value of $252 million.
In July, a ticket worth $1.33 billion with a cash value of $780.5 million was purchased in Des Plaines, Illinois by an anonymous partnership, officials stated.

Less than a month ago, two Georgians won big, with tickets worth $1 million each.
A Publix store in Brunswick sold one of the winning tickets and the second winner purchased the ticket through the Georgia Lottery mobile app.
