ATLANTA — A massive fallen tree has left a busy entrance to midtown Atlanta’s Piedmont Park blocked.
Midtown Atlanta and most of the metro area were hit with severe thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds on Friday night.

Channel 2 Action News crews in the park spotted the downed tree on Saturday afternoon near the 12th Street entrance to the park. It’s unclear exactly when the tree fell.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the tree falling.

Parkgoers are still able to walk around the tree, but it has the paved walkway fully blocked.
It’s unclear when the tree will be removed from the park.
