The first Mega Millions jackpot of the year has risen to $447 million, higher than any jackpot in 2020.
The drawing will happen in the Channel 2 Action News studios tonight at 11 p.m.

Tonight’s jackpot would be the tenth largest prize in Mega Millions history. The jackpot started out at $432 million but rose to $447 million Tuesday because of high ticket sales.

The cash option for Mega Millions is $339.6 million.
If there is not a winner for tonight’s draw, the Mega Millions jackpot will roll to an estimated $490 million for Friday, January 8, 2021. The estimated cash value of this jackpot, based on projected sales and current interest rates, is approximately $372,300,000.
The odds of winning Mega Millions are one in 303 million.
The highest jackpot in 2020 was when someone in Arizona won $414 million in June.
