Apple pulls back iOS 8 update after complaints

ATLANTA — After pushing an update for iOS 8 live today for a hot second, Apple rolled back the operating system update due to reports of problems.

"We have received reports of an issue with the iOS 8.0.1 update," Apple said in a statement to ABC News. "We are actively investigating these reports and will provide information as quickly as we can. In the meantime we have pulled back the iOS 8.0.1 update."

Since it was released last week, Apple's iOS 8 has been hailed for its aesthetics but seems to be plagued by bugs for some users. Some took to Twitter to complain about the issues they say they've experienced.

Slow download speeds, sluggish performance and problems with both Apple's native keyboard and third-party keyboards were among some of the most common issues noted by users.

If you have happened to have downloaded the latest operating system, Mashable has put together a helpful list to downgrade back to iOS8.
