14 injured, 1 killed in shooting at South Carolina nightclub

AIKEN, S.C. — Police say 14 people were injured and one man was killed in a shooting at a South Carolina nightclub early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened at 7th Lounge just over the Georgia/South Carolina line in Aiken around 12:47 a.m. Aiken is a 30-minute drive from Augusta.

Police are searching for at least three suspects who fled the scene in a Chevy Tahoe. Witnesses told police the suspects began firing with a rifle and a handgun.

A North Augusta man was pronounced dead on the scene. Police identified him as Craig Youmans, 30.

Thirteen other people were taken to the hospital. Their identities and conditions have not been released.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
