MACON, Ga. — A Macon woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday night.
Just after 9 p.m., Hoa Tran, 48, was riding a moped in the parking lot at 5080 Riverside Drive when she was struck by a white Toyota Tacoma traveling north towards Wesleyan Drive.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the Tacoma stopped for a moment and then drove off.

Tran was taken to a hospital and was pronounced deceased just before 10:30 p.m.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the Tacoma.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500.
