CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga.,None — Twins from Jonesboro are worried about their safety after someone put their phone numbers on Craiglist.
Sisters Concerned About Safety After Numbers Posted On Craigslist
For the third time, someone has placed an ad on Craigslist soliciting men on Amanda Robersons behalf. She was flooded with phone calls and text messages.
Hey shorty, whats up? Let me know if youre still up for the night, a caller said in a voicemail.
Someone posted pictures of her and her phone number on Craigslist, along with a message that said she was bored and down for whateva. She realized it had been posted Tuesday night when her phone started ringing. When she asked a solicitor where he found her phone number, he said, off the line.
The ad also included Robersons twin sister Ashleys cell.
My phone did not stop ringing last night until, well early this morning at 12 oclock, Ashley Roberson said.
Amanda Roberson, a 23-year-old college student, said shes afraid for her safety.
This is very serious to me, she told Channel 2's Eric Philips. And my safety is the biggest thing.
Roberson said she wants the person behind the ads to pay.
I want something done about it, because its not right for someone to steal your picture and your information and put it online, soliciting men, Roberson said.
She filed a report with Clayton County police, and theyre investigating.
The sisters believe they know who is behind the ad, which has been deleted from Craigslist, but theyre afraid another one could soon appear.
I just want that person to know that I am on them, and I really hope that they covered their tracks. If not, they will be caught, Roberson said.
