Listeria monocytogenes bacteria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria often experience fever, severe headaches, stiffness, diarrhea, nausea and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with the bacteria can result in miscarriage or stillbirth among pregnant women.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products can return them to The Wisconsin Cheeseman® for a refund or replacement. Those with questions about the recall can call the company customer service line at 800-698-1751.
