Hot Wheels Legends Tour Jose Retana has spent almost every free weekend and day off throughout the past seven years customizing his Blue Electric Metallic Nissan 240SX alongside his family and friends, almost entirely in his own garage. The Nissan 240SX has undergone detailed paint, body, and drivetrain work, while retaining some original styling in the rear and interior. Retana’s passion project has been transformed with a front and rear Boss Kit, new 18-inch wheels to match the bodywork, and Airlift Air Ride to help achieve the car’s stance and a completely distinctive build. Retana wanted to maintain the iconic, old Datsun look with the front end, but also wanted to achieve the “wide and low effect” he loves. The performance was drastically improved when he added a strong 6.0-liter LS2 V-8 engine and an updated Nissan 350Z differential. Retana’s creativity and garage spirit culminated in this unique vehicle with a look that impressed the judges and took home the top spot at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Atlanta last year.
