Braves reportedly sign outfielder Yasiel Puig; team yet to confirm

Yasiel Puig #66 of the Los Angeles Dodgers hits a single that brings home the tying run during the thirteenth inning against the Boston Red Sox in Game Three of the 2018 World Series at Dodger Stadium on October 26, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.

The Braves have signed former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig to a contract, according to media reports.

MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reported the signing per a source on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

Channel 2 Sports Director Zach Klein asked Braves manager Brian Snitker if he could confirm the signing. Snitker said he didn’t know.

Puig started his career with the Dodgers before the team traded him to the Cincinnati Reds in 2018. The next summer the Reds traded the outfielder to the Cleveland Indians.
