SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Three people – including a 7-year-old boy – were hurt when gunfire erupted late Monday in Syracuse, New York, authorities said.
According to Syracuse.com and WSTM, the shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on South Salina Street. Syracuse police responded to reports of gunfire and learned that a private vehicle had taken three victims to a nearby hospital, the news outlets reported.
Police said the victims included a boy, 7, who suffered a critical gunshot wound to the back, Syracuse.com reported. The other two victims – a 42-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman who suffered a “graze-type wound” – were expected to recover, authorities said.
Police have not released any information about a possible suspect, the news outlets reported.
