“I want to thank the extraordinary doctors and nurses who cared for me for the last week,” Christie said on social media. “Thanks to my family and friends for their prayers. I will have more to say about all of this next week.”

Christie, 58, was hospitalized Oct. 3 as a precautionary measure.

Christie was maskless when he spent four days helping President Donald Trump prepare for the first debate against former Vice President Joe Biden. Trump and first lady Melania Trump announced their positive test days after the debate.

Christie also attended the Rose Garden ceremony in September when Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Dozens of people in Republican circles have tested positive since then.
