AUSTELL, Ga. — Six Flags Over Georgia held a job fair Saturday to fill 2,400 seasonal positions.
The event was held at the Six Flags Over Georgia Crystal Pistol Theater in Cobb County at 9 a.m.
The area was crowded with people looking for job opportunities. Applicants began lining up late Friday night. Only the first 1,000 in line received tickets for interviews.
"I know these jobs are pretty much high school, college people out of school, but the economy is bad. There's lots of people here who need work and I'm one of them," interviewee Lance Jones told Channel 2's Rebecca Lindstrom.
Six Flags is hiring in the areas of food service, games, park services, loss prevention, ticket services, human resources, toll booth attendants, security officers, merchandising, cash control, ride operations and marketing research.
Job hopefuls were encouraged to fill out an online application before attending the fair.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply. Qualified applicants are required to go through multiple screenings and interviews and must dress in business attire.
