ATLANTA — Vice President Mike Pence is planning to visit Georgia this week to stump for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue ahead of the state’s crucial Senate race.

The Vice President’s visit happens on the same day that Georgia will certify its election results. President-Elect Joe Biden is currently more than 14,000 votes ahead of President Donald Trump in Georgia, but the margins were close enough to prompt a recount.

“We’ll keep fighting until EVERY legal vote for President Donald Trump is counted,” Pence tweeted, saying he’s also going to fight to keep the Republican majority in the Senate.

GEORGIA VOTER GUIDE:

Loeffler and Perdue face Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, respectively, in the runoff election slated for Jan. 5. The outcome of Georgia’s Senate races will determine the balance of power in Washington.
