JACKSON COUNTY, Ga. — A man who claimed to be a church youth leader was arrested on Friday when a boy accused him of child molestation.
Braselton Police arrested Joshua Humphrey, 21. Detectives interviewed Humphrey when a teenager accused him of molesting a younger boy.
Assistant Police Chief Lou Solis told Channel 2 that Humphrey claimed to be a church youth leader at Zion Baptist Church in Braselton and invited several boys on a nature hike.
Police said one of the boys on the hike later told his parents he saw Humphrey inappropriately touch another child.
A spokesman for the church told police they had interviewed and screened Humphrey to be a youth leader but he was not cleared to have direct contact with youth.
Humphrey was being held in the Jackson County Jail.
