Police: Husband charged with murder at north Georgia resort

GILMER COUNTY, Ga.,None — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to help with a death investigation inside a gated north Georgia resort on Wednesday.

The Gilmer County Sheriff's Office said they were initially called to a home inside the Coosawattee River Resort about 4 a.m. where a resident reported a home invasion.

Deputies later told Channel 2's Jeff Dore that a couple had an argument and the husband killed his wife.

They charged Donald Bossa, 76, with the murder of his wife, Barbara, 67. Deputies said the victim showed obvious signs of trauma.

The neighborhood association website describes the resort as a 5,500 acre development near Ellijay with more than 7,000 individually owned lots. There are also rental cabins and a campground, but police told Dore the couple lived there full time in a 2-story log home.
