Mom Charged In Meth-Related Fire Attends Kids' Funeral

DALTON, Ga.,None — The mother of three children killed in a meth-fueled fire was granted permission to attend their funeral in Dalton on Wednesday.

Channel 2's Richard Elliot was at the scene when 22-year-old Neibo Brito arrived at the funeral home in handcuffs and prison garb.

Brito was charged with methamphetamine trafficking after her children, Isaac, Ivan and Stacy, were killed at their Lilburn home Feb. 17. Investigators said the fire started when chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine ignited. They said they found one pound of finished methamphetamine, 4,555 grams of liquid methamphetamine and almost $200,000 inside the walls of the home.

A second suspect was also charged in the fire. Brito's boyfriend Ivan Gonzalez was charged with murder, but he disappeared after he said he would follow the children's ambulance, police said.
