FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Forsyth County sheriff's officials said a man who was arrested in May on accusations of biting a young girl has been arrested again after an incident at a Walmart involving the same girl.
Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton said deputies arrested Gordon Kent Nelson, 44, Monday following a confrontation on June 9.
Nelson was charged in May with two misdemeanor battery counts after he allegedly bit two girls in separate incidents.
According to a complaint filed with the sheriff's office, an 8-year-old girl, who Nelson is accused of biting, was in the check-out line at an Alpharetta Walmart with some members of her extended family when Nelson entered the store. The family finished checking out and left the store. The girl's uncle said that as they attempted to leave the parking lot, Nelson followed them in his vehicle and blew kisses at them. The girl's uncle said a verbal altercation ensued and Nelson left when he said he was calling police.
As a condition of his bond in the alleged biting incidents, Nelson was not to have any contact with the alleged victims or their families.
Nelson was charged with one felony count of aggravated stalking, Paxton said.
Nelson is being held in the Forsyth County Adult Detention Center pending his first court appearance.
