Madame Gets Life Sentence For Murder

ATLANTA,None — An Atlanta Madame has been convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of a man.

Once a most-wanted fugitive, Kisha Rutledge was convicted Friday night of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery and conspiracy for the shooting death of Keith Alan Brown.

Brown was killed in his Milton apartment June 12, 2007. According to the investigation, Rutledge, the owner of an escort service, orchestrated a robbery at Brown's home after learning that he kept thousands of dollars in cash at the apartment. She enlisted the help of local adult entertainer Michelle Morrison, who drove her and two men to the home.

While the women waited in the car, Jeff Dulcio and Stephen Woods tried to rob Brown, but he began shooting in defense. One of the intruders then shot back before fleeing the scene. Brown called 911 but died shortly thereafter.

Two years later, Dulcio and Morrison were sentenced to life in prison for murder, attempted armed robbery and conspiracy. Woods received a 15-year sentence as part of a plea agreement.

But Rutledge fled the state before the prosecutions. She was eventually captured in Houston after being featured on "America's Most Wanted."
