ATLANTA — A woman was rescued when flames burned a home in northwest Atlanta.
Firefighters got her out through a window of the home on Colquitt Avenue early Monday morning.
Authorities said the home is occupied by four renters but only two of them were home at the time. One woman had to be carried out of the house, but is OK.
Channel 2's crews were there as an Atlanta firefighter carried out a cage with a pet rat inside.
The woman ran up and kissed the rat, named Roach.
Crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
