ATLANTA — The local truck driver blamed for a crash that hurt comedian Tracy Morgan wants his criminal charges dropped.
Kevin Roper is from Clayton County.
Federal investigators say he was speeding when he crashed a Walmart tractor trailer into Morgan's limo bus last June. They also say he had been awake for 28 hours before the wreck.
Morgan suffered a brain injury and one of his friends was killed.
The driver's lawyer says the National Transportation Safety Board report along with Walmart's civil settlements make it impossible to find an "impartial jury."
