WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A teenage girl says she doesn’t remember anything after sleepwalking for nine miles.
Taylor Grammel’s parents say they sometimes find her sleepwalking, but catch her before she leaves their Colorado home.
“She’s just kind of in a daze when she is sleepwalking and I just kind of turn her around and I put her back to bed and usually that’s fine,” said dad Steve Gammel.
This week, they woke up to her alarm going off, the back door was open and her phone and keys were left behind.
Police officers started searching for the teen. She eventually woke up in her uncle’s house. Her cousins found her sleeping on their couch. Doctors say it’s unusual that Taylor was able to travel so far while asleep.
Her parents say they will set their house alarm to keep it from happening again.
